Beachside Launches the “Queen Mary”
Date posted: 5 May 2014Younger visitors to Beachside this year will be able to enjoy a new addition to our beachfront playground.
Our new ship the “Queen Mary” has now been completed and is ready to set sail! Featuring a climbing net, deck, ship’s wheel, rope climb and treasure map, it will be sure to keep the kids occupied for many a voyage.
The ship is named after one of Beachside Holiday Park’s founders, husband and wife, Bert and Mary Trenchard. Beachside has been run by the Trenchard family since 1961 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2011. The ship is named in memory of Mary Trenchard who passed away in August 2012, aged 94. Beachside Holiday Park is now run by Bert and Mary’s two sons and grandchildren.
