Stay on the beach at St Ives Bay, Cornwall

With the idyllic location of Beachside Holiday Park, you can stay right by the beach in St Ives bay. The long stretch of golden, sandy beach is just a moment’s walk along the private footpath from our self-catering accommodation and campsite among the sand dunes.

St Ives Bay is wonderfully versatile for a beach holiday and offers safe shallow waters just right for bathing as well as great conditions for surfing or sea fishing at most levels of experience. Energetic visitors can indulge in a spot of beachcombing or volleyball and the temperate sea breezes make the bay perfect for kite flying.

If you’re after a less active holiday activity, the soft warm sands are an ideal place to take it easy, linger over a picnic and admire the views across the bay towards St Ives or Godrevy.

The beaches around Hayle are an important area for wildlife and it is not uncommon to see seals in the sea or sea birds among the towans (sand dunes) and along the South West Coast Path which coincides with the beach. The beach is eight miles of golden sand stretching from Hayle to St Ives.

The beach is popular with watersports enthusiasts particularly with surfers, kayakers, canoeists, windsurfers and kitesurfers. It’s expanse of hard sand at low water also makes it popular with users of kite buggies and land yachts.
