About Us - Family Run Holiday Park in Cornwall

At Beachside Holiday Park in Hayle, we pride ourselves on being a family-run, family-friendly haven. Running for over 60 years, we have decades of experience in providing the best possible holidays in Cornwall and love seeing guests return year after year.

When Bert and Mary Trenchard bought what was to be Beachside Holiday Park in 1961, they were setting in stone the roots of a decades-long family legacy. Captivated by the beautiful view of St Ives Bay that you see as you drive over the sand dunes on the way into Beachside (a view that is still largely unchanged today), they wanted to share their slice of Cornish haven with others. Offering somewhere that guests could truly immerse themselves and enjoy access to one of the finest beaches in Cornwall, Beachside quickly became a sanctuary loved by many.

When Bert and Mary retired, their sons Peter and Lance ran the business for many years until Peter’s retirement. Today, Beachside is now run by Lance and his son Ben, who can both be seen on the site almost every day – do say hello if you see them! From the start, our ethos at Beachside Holiday Park has always been based on exceeding expectations and offering the very best holidays, and even after 60 years, Lance and Ben are still dedicated to this, alongside a loyal and experienced team. Always looking at new ways to improve guests’ experiences, at Beachside we run on continual improvement and a love for what we do.

Offering a personal service and welcoming touch without the commercial edge, we are lucky enough to see many of our guests return year after year. In fact, we have a number of families that have been coming to Beachside since 1961, and regularly have three generations of the same family come to stay. Sometimes, we even have four generations of the same family, which is extra special! Always committed to excellence, it’s truly touching for us when a customer contacts us to say that they used to holiday at Beachside as a child, and now want to bring their own children too.

While our ethos has stayed the same, the park has evolved and improved over the years. Today, we have a superb range of beachside accommodation, including holiday apartments, seafront lodges, beach chalets and camping pitches and caravanning pitches. Complementing this, we also have lots of onsite facilities, including a family-friendly restaurant and bar, seasonal swimming pool, games room, outdoor terrace, under 5’s soft play area and more. Of course, the cherry on the cake is our beach access, with a direct footpath onto the golden sands of St Ives Bay.
