Introduction
Beachside Holiday Park is set amidst sand dunes in Hayle, Cornwall, right on the beach in St Ives Bay. We offer a wide choice of accommodation and pitches to suit a variety of styles and budgets. We have a selection of facilities at Beachside to ensure your stay is relaxing and convenient. There is a quite steep slope down to one of the country’s finest beaches. We are a relaxed, carefree, and less commercial holiday park.
We welcome dogs in selected accommodation and on pitches, but the majority of our accommodation are dog and pet free.
Wheelchair and Walking Disabilities – we do have some steep gradients and steps so please contact us before booking so we can advise on the most suitable accommodation or pitch.
There is a 360 tour on our website for the reception and restaurant and all types of accommodation which can be viewed room to room. There is a park map showing the layout of the park on our website.
High speed Wi-Fi is available in the accommodation and around the park main facilities.

Travel by Car
A popular route is to take the M5 southwest, then to join the A30 at Exeter.
- Leave the A30 at the large roundabout on the approach to Hayle (Loggans Moor roundabout).
- Take the exit into Hayle and go straight across the double mini roundabout.
- Turn right opposite petrol station, following brown tourist sign to Beachside Holiday Park.
- Our entrance is approximately quarter of a mile on the right.

You can travel to Hayle by train, coach, bus and air.
The nearest train station is Hayle station which is 1.5 miles or St Erth station which is 3.2 miles from Beachside Holiday Park. Hayle is a local station with a small platform, where not all trains stop. St Erth is a larger station and platform, where most trains stop.
The nearest National Express stop in Hayle is in Copperhouse and is 1.0 miles from us.
The nearest bus stop is on Beatrice Terrace and is 0.9 miles from us.
The nearest airport is Newquay Cornwall Airport which is 30 miles from Beachside Holiday Park. The most convenient transfer to Beachside Holiday Park is by taxi, or car hire from the airport.

- The access to the beach is initially a tarmac path which then turns into a sandy path and is quite steep and may not suit customers with walking disabilities. The shape of the dunes is variable and changes on a regular basis.

- Pushchairs will need to be carried.
Accommodation – General Notes
- There are 360 tours on our website for each type of accommodation so each unit can be viewed room-by-room internally.
- There is a comparison chart on the website to view the facilities for each unit.
- All our accommodation has two bedrooms; one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with a double bed and bunkbeds.
- Our Accessible Apartments are designed for people with limited mobility, using wheelchairs, accompanied by others. Other properties are suitable for ambulant people with limited mobility as they are one storey and have parking nearby.
- One car parking space per accommodation (2 for bungalows and dune lodges).
- There is high speed Wi-Fi in all accommodation.
- The linen is cotton and there is no feather bedding.
- There is no smoking or e-cigarettes permitted in any of our accommodation.

- Shower seat with backrest. Seat height 510mm.
- The clearance with the drop-down rails in the shower are 70mm from the seat to the side rail and 290mm clearance in front.
- Shower taps are mixer and lever operated.
- The basin is 700mm high. The taps are lever operated. There is no space under the basin. There is a horizontal rail at each side of the sink.

- Most pitches are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
- There is a motorhome service area to fill up with water and dispose of all waste which is on level ground with a large turning area.

Park grounds
- We are set among the sand dunes. There is a mixture and level ground and slopes. Some of the roads are unmade and the terrain is uneven in places.
- There is an accessible parking space at the front of the site to access the field area, playground and benches overlooking the sea.
Beach
- The access to the beach is initially a tarmac path which then turns into a sandy path and is quite steep and may not suit customers with walking disabilities. The shape of the dunes is variable and changes on a regular basis.
- There no wheelchair access to the beach.
- Pushchairs will need to be carried.
Swimming Pool
- There are 2 steps leading into the swimming pool area. First step is 160mm high – the second step is 190mm high.
- Access to the swimming pool is via steps with a handrail.
Outdoor playgrounds
- There are 2 children’s playgrounds with no steps and undulating ground.
Dune Bar
- The dune bar is an outdoor container bar at the front of the site on a grass field.
- There is one accessible parking space near the seafront lodges with access across the field.
- Card payment only.
- The decking has level access to the bar. The bar height is 1080mm and there are several wooden benches and picnic benches.
- There is ramp access into the dune bar toilets.
- Toilets – entrance door width 870mm, cubicle door width 700mm or more. Toilet seat height 420mm, clearance around the toilet – 100mm, sink height 730mm and hand drier height 1250mm.
- The nearest accessible WCs are in the restaurant or main toilet block.

- We can receive pre-deliveries of medical equipment including oxygen in small amounts.

- We have emergency evacuation procedures in our main facilities building for disabled visitors.
How to Get to St Ives
- Park and ride by train from St Erth station. The postcode is TR27 6JW. There is a 500 space car park and motorhome parking area. Group and Family tickets are available.
- The Tinner T2 and T3 bus from Copperhouse in Hayle (approx. 0.8 miles from reception).
- The T2A Gwithian Circular bus is seasonal and normally runs from Easter to September. The stop is at the bottom of our drive by the Beachside signs (approx. 0.5 miles from reception).

- We have information in large print .
- Visitor information is also available in Easy Read format.
- Reception opening hours vary depending on the time of year. Usually 9am to 10pm in peak season and 9am to 6pm in off-peak season. Current opening hours will be posted on reception door. Please phone or email to check opening times in advance. Staff are not available 24 hours.
- Our park map, notices in accommodation and our Intranet website www.beachside.co.uk/whats-on-at-beachside gives information on local services and emergency procedures.
- Mobile phone reception is generally good, but variable in some parts of the park, depending on your network. An emergency phone is located outside reception.
