Touring & Camping Information

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed on the park.

Car Parking

There is one parking space per unit or pitch. Additional cars may be parked at the main car park. For safety reasons, we wish to eliminate unnecessary driving around the site for the safety of children and pedestrians. Due to capacity safety restrictions, electric car charging is not permitted at your accommodation or pitch. Reception can advise on the location of local chargers.

WiFi

Free WiFi is available in the accommodation, serviced pitches and in Coast and all facilities.

Refuse

All refuse compounds contain different bins for general waste, glass and mixed recycling. Please help us to recycle by only using the correct bins.  Please do not leave rubbish outside the wheelie bines.  Do no place hot disposable barbecues or hot charcoal in the bins. Please do not leave refuse outside your accommodation, caravan or tent overnight.

Reception

Open every day from 9am. We have a large selection of leaflets on local attractions and surrounding areas.  We can also help you with any additional information you may require.

Restaurant & Bar

Coast is open every day during peak season for a wonderful selection of freshly cooked food and alcoholic, hot and cold drinks to enjoy inside or on the terrace overlooking St Ives Bay. Please check off-peak opening hours at reception. Children under 18 are welcome in the family area but must be accompanied and supervised by their parents.

Shop

Open every day during the main season for groceries, milk, takeaway food and hot & cold drinks. The shop also stocks ice creams, gifts and beach goods. Surfboards, and wetsuits are available to hire from Hayle Surf School, located at the front of the park.

Swimming Pool

Open every day (times as posted) from early May to late September. Children under 15 years of age must be supervised by an adult.

Games Room

Open from 10am every day. Pool tables and a selection of video games available.

Wetsuits

Wetsuit washing areas can be found outside each toilet block. Wetsuits can be hired from Beach Shack Surf School.

Launderette

Open every day from 9.30am. Washers, dryers, and iron are available.

Medical Emergencies

In an emergency, please dial 999. There is a 24hr A&E at Royal Cornwall Hospital Truro (postcode TR1 3LJ) and a minor injury unit at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital (postcode TR15 3ER). For 24hr non-emergency advice, please call NHS 111.

Post

We have one delivery per day that arrives late morning, and any mail you are expecting can be collected from reception.

Table Tennis

Bats and balls are on sale in the shop.

Turf

The grass habitat is very fragile so please do not allow children to dig on the site. Digging or removing stone from walls and hedges will result in a repair of damages charge being made.

Kites

Please do not fly your kite near the overhead electricity cables.

Accidents

All accidents must be reported to reception.

Grass Banks

Please take care when walking on grass banks and sand dunes. Please use the paths and steps where possible.

Security

We advise you not to leave valuables or money unattended in your car or tent.

Noise

Please be considerate to other holidaymakers especially after 10pm.

Seagulls

Please do not feed the seagulls (do not forget, what goes in one end comes out the other!)

Rabbits

We have an ongoing training programme to stop rabbits from digging on the holiday park, but unfortunately our rabbits are still in training! Therefore in the mean time please do not trip or fall into a rabbit hole. If you see a rabbit digging, it is worth mentioning the above programme to it.

Fire Action

  1. 1. Raise the alarm
  2. 2. Ensure the caravan or building is evacuated
  3. 3. Call the fire brigade (nearest telephone is at reception)
  4. 4. If practicable – attack the fire

Touring & Camping Information

Departure

Your pitch must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. If you wish to extend your stay you must check for availability at reception before 10am on the day you are due to depart.

Electric Hook-ups

Please note that multi-way adaptors are not permitted. Please use one lead per hook-up socket to prevent electric overloading.

Toilets

Children under 8 years old must be accompanied to the toilets by their parents. Elsans must only be emptied at the disposal point behind the toilet block. Toilet tents are not allowed. Disabled toilet and nappy changing facilities are available at the main toilet block.

Motorhomes

Waste water disposal, fresh water and chemical toilet disposal can be found at the motorhome service point, behind the main building near the launderette.

Fire Precautions

Please pitch in accordance with the plan given to you when checking in to ensure adequate spacing between tents, caravans & motorhomes. It is important that these minimum spacing requirements are adhered to and anyone incorrectly pitched will be asked to move.

Campfires, bonfires or firepits are not permitted under any circumstances. Proprietary metal barbeques may be used, providing they are off the ground. Do not place hot ashes or barbecues in the rubbish bins. Never cook, smoke or use candles inside your tent. Please familiarise yourself with the nearest fire point to your pitch.
